This machine has been specially designed for grinding cutters and chip limiters in the block without reset, creating the 1.1mm height difference under PUWER regulations. A rapid and precise machine for grinding cutters to shape this machine is popular with companies who use handfed moulders and wish to save money by doing grinding in house. The machine automatically develops out the true cutter profile needed using a template formed either to a drawing or shaped to fit square on a sample mould. A built in diamond dresser dresses the grinding wheel and forms the wheel to half round, square or single or double angle section. The grinding wheel offsets automatically when swivelled for side clearance and grinds the cutter only where needed - this avoids spoiling the edge where opposite side clearance is required. Hand operated with a pivot carriage.

This machine is much the same as the PR/100X but the pivot carriage has been swapped for a multidirectional linear carriage giving greater control over grinding.

This machine can be supplied with either 230mm or 300mm of carriage travel to suit the different sizes of cutter block length. The machine can also be supplied with either a pivot carriage or a multidirectional linear carriage. A rapid and precise machine for grinding cutters to shape, and at the correct main and side clearance angles, using a metal template profiled to the reverse of the pattern required. Cutters are normally ground in the block and are then precisely aligned radially and laterally to require neither setting nor balancing. The machine automatically develops out the true cutter profile needed using a template formed either to a drawing or shaped to fit square on a sample mould. The same template can be used to form any combination of circular, square, straight or shear cut heads, or router cutters, each to produce perfectly matching moulds. A built in diamond dresser dresses the grinding wheel at the point of grind to guarantee alignment of the stylus and wheel each time dressed. The same dresser forms the wheel to half round, square, single or double angle sections and will also side dress. The grinding wheel offsets automatically when tilted for side clearance and grinds the cutter only where needed - this avoids spoiling the edge where opposite side clearance is required.
